Here it is, flat. For you crafters out there, it's a simple bib to make, cut out a rectangle of fabric, finish off the edges (you can use bias tape if you'd like), sew elastic in for your neckline, cut two half-circles for arms and finish the raw edges (again, you can use bias tape if you'd like) and add in a snap (if you don't have a snap applicator, you could use velcro instead).

The CPSC (US Consumer Product Safety Commission) has issued a one-year postponement for the lead-testing and certification on certain products, including children's clothing. We will start production of our beautiful Children's Line again! Please be patient with us, as it will take some time to rebuild our inventory.

If you haven't yet voiced your concern over the expensive and unnecessary testing, do so now, as they may decide to require expensive testing in a year, once again putting a stop to our Children's Line. Thank you to everyone who's spoken up!

Yes, we have a blog! As many of you are aware, we are liquidating our current Children’s Line, due to the new CPSIA law, requiring third-party lead testing on all products for children 12 and younger. But, we won’t let this law stifle our creative juices, and we are committed to providing you with excellent clothing. So we are proud to say that we are working on producing a new Juniors’ Line, created specifically for girls ages 13+. ;)

Through our blog, we hope to give you inside glimpses of our upcoming product lines. We look forward to any feedback you have to share with us. We’ll keep you updated on the status of the CPSIA, as we hope through people like you making your voice heard (see our SAVE HANDMADE link), the law will be changed and we will be able to reinstate our Children’s Line again. We also look forward to sharing some of our personal creative projects with you through our blog.

After enjoying two years providing you with beautiful children's clothing, Jody and Tammy are pursuing other interests. Jody is pursuing Nursing School and enjoying focusing her attentions on her studies. Tammy's enjoying traveling with her husband as he pursues his career and she pursues volunteer work.

Crystal Carr and Jill Buie joined Scarlet Stitch at the beginning of November, adding new enthusiasm and insight.

Crystal Carr found her passion for sewing while making fitted cloth diapers for her first son. Feeling she was a part of creating something beautiful, Crystal was excited to start sewing for Scarlet Stitch in September, join as part-owner in November, and become half-owner, along with Jill in January 2009.

Jill Buie and her husband discovered Scarlet Stitch's website in November 2007, and fell in love with what they saw, checking the website weekly as they were anticipating the birth of their first child. Just one month later, at an after-church gathering, they were introduced to the Carr's as well as Tammy. During conversation, it was revealed that Tammy was the co-owner of Scarlet Stitch. Jill felt as though she had met a celebrity and proceeded to bombard her with enthusiastic questions.
